Tribal Communities in India Have Access to Agricultural Equipment for Growing Millet.

"Miracle With Millets" is the flagship project of JCI Vizag Steel City to raise awareness of, and direct policy attention to the nutritional and health benefits of millets and their suitability for cultivation under adverse and changing climatic conditions.


JCI Vizag Steel City under its flagship project "Miracle with Millets" is proud to share its collaborative effort with Spandana Cheyutha Foundation, Lions Club of Vizag Steel Plant, Lions club of VSP Gajuwaka, and the Rotary Club of Visakha Smart City in donating farming tools and other essential items to the tribal people of three remote villages in Andhra Pradesh.


The chief guest, former Lion's club district governor Ln Alapati Subbarao, applauded the collaborative efforts of the participating groups for ensuring the long-term sustainability of the community. The "Miracle with Millets" initiative was well appreciated.


About 100 well-backward tribal families in Boddumamidi, Vakapalli, and Marripalem villages in Paderu Mandal, D Gonduru Panchayat, Alluri Sitaramaraju Dist were identified. The donation included a variety of items such as cultivation implements, crowbars, spades, and collectors. Blankets and sarees were distributed to the families.


During the camp one hundred fifty individuals had their blood pressure and other vitals checked, and those in need were provided with medication at no cost.


The event was organized by Jc Sarojini, VP IMPACT 2030 of JCI Vizag Steel City with E.Butchiraju (Spandana Cheyutha Foundation Chairman) Ln E.Sudha Rani (Lions club of VSP Steel City President) Ln Sridhar (Lions Club of VSP Gajuwaka President) Rambabu (D Gonduru Panchayat Sarpanch) and Jc Y K Garg & Jc Jaya Lakshmi (JCI Vizag Steel City). Ln Dr Anil Verma and Pramod Sahu organized the services for the medical camp, Lion Alapathi Subbarao, Dr. Anil Verma, and VRK Raju provided the medicines for the camp.


JCI Vizag Steel City's LO President Jc Leela Rani, who significantly donated to this occasion, started the "Miracle with Millets" initiative this year.
