JCI Vizag Steel City hosted an awareness program on electronic waste management for Region E of Zone IV JCI India under its E-Green Era Project.
The E-Green Era initiative was started by JC Leela Rani Alla, VP Programs IMPACT 2030 of JCI Vizag Steel City. JCI India has accepted the project as part of its IMPACT 2030 initiative. The project’s goal is to raise consumer awareness and sensitise them to responsible electronics disposal and recycling practices. It also aligns with the Government of India’s Swatchbharath campaign to raise awareness about E-waste.

Jc Leela Rani, quoting Robert Swan, informed the attendees on the grave repercussions that we humans would face if we ignore E-Waste. This is the VP Impact 2030’s fourth awareness initiative in the Andhra and Telangana area as part of the EGreen Era. So far, over 20 kg of E-waste has been collected in the region as part of this effort.
The Session resulted in the possibility of collaborating with RINL (Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited) to have an influence on society.
JCI Senator Harshvardhan Reddy Zone President Zone IV was the event’s Chief guest, and JCI Senator Ranjit Sah and JC Jeevan Jyoti Volla attended as guests of honour and special invitees, respectively.
