Success and Impact: Day 2 of 'Smoothwalk' Mega Medical Camp Marks a Landmark in Ukkunagaram



The second day of the 'Smoothwalk' mega medical camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with 550 registrations for checkups. To cater to the increasing number of participants and ensure a seamless process, additional consultation doctors were called in. The event's success not only provided valuable health services but also raised awareness among the population of Ukkunagaram and the surrounding communities.


One of the primary objectives of these camps is to gather data on bone health within a specific demographic. By establishing this data, the collaboration between JCI Vizag Steel City and Lee Health Domain aims to conduct further studies and organize more awareness camps to address core issues identified during these events. The efforts put into this project hold the potential to generate crucial insights into bone health at a regional level.


The presence of nutritionists added a new dimension to the camp, enabling participants to receive comprehensive advice on dietary choices that support optimal bone health. Through personalized consultations, the nutritionists shared valuable insights into maintaining a balanced diet, offering practical recommendations tailored to individual needs. Additionally, nutritional assessment tools were utilized to evaluate participants' dietary habits and identify areas for improvement, empowering them to make informed choices for long-term health benefits.



During the valedictory ceremony, LO President Jc Leela Rani Alla, expressed her gratitude for the project's success and emphasized the collaborative nature of JCI Vizag Steel City, Lions Club and Lee Health Domain Pvt(I) Ltd. She highlighted the significance of this partnership in establishing a comprehensive report on bone health within the demography. This report will serve as a foundation for future research and facilitate the organization of more awareness programs targeting key health issues identified through these camps.



Chief General Manager RINL, Sri NV Swamy, in his address, commended JCI for its dedicated efforts in conducting health and wellness programs aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development (UNSD) goals. The presence of VP Lions Club VSP Steel City Ln PVKM Lakshmi as the Guest of Honour further added to the significance of the occasion, highlighting the collective commitment to community welfare.


The supporting staff from Lee Health Domain Pvt(I) Ltd received high praise for their exceptional service and compassionate approach throughout the two-day camp. Their dedication and humanitarian behavior exemplified the spirit of service and further contributed to the camp's success.


The blessings and appreciation of the senior citizens in the community added an extra touch of warmth and gratitude to the entire team involved in organizing the camp. Their encouragement and well wishes inspire the team to continue making a difference in the lives of the community members.



The event concluded on a high note with Jc Jaya Lakshmi, Past President of JCI Vizag Steel City, delivering an energetic vote of thanks. The chair expressed deepest gratitude to the RINL Health & Wellness wing and the Sports Department for providing the facility to conduct the camp comfortably.
